Our story

What is neotopia

Born from a passion for anime, EDM, and Raves. Neotopia is the culmination of the anime & Japanese culture and immersive music to create the ultimate experience. We wanted to build an experience that we could enjoy, embrace our differences and explore our creativity. Get transported into the immersive world of Neotopia and the unique experience we are creating. Our goal is to create a unique experience as you collect memories and enjoy new environments every single event. Welcome to the world of AniRaves.

Whether you’ve grown up watching anime or you’re a newly addicted anime binger, Neotopia combines the best raves with the fun and joy of anime – all in the name of expression and community.

Our team brings together local home grown artists (both musically and graphically), over 10 years of event management experience and a track record of viral ventures to bring to you the best experience. We wanted to create an event that we and our friends could enjoy with no reservations and now we want to celebrate that with you.

Most frequently asked questions and answers

Do I have to cosplay?

No! It is encouraged to get into character, however if you are a passionate lover of music, Japanese culture and anime, you don’t need to dress up to enjoy yourself. Simply dress how you’d like and have a good time!

What ID do I need?

Acceptable IDs are: Australian Drivers Licenses (Physical or digital), Proof of Age cards (State equivalents), or passport.

All IDs must be valid and within date, originals and not copies, photos or scanned versions. If you do not have any of these forms of ID, it’s recommended you bring as much support photo ID as possible, yet entry will be at the Venue Licensee, Security & NSW Police discretion on the day. We cannot interfere in this process. International drivers licenses are NOT accepted. If you are from overseas, you must bring your passport.

Will there be a cloakroom

There will be a cloakroom on site for $5. Prohibited or restricted items can also be cloaked (swords, fake weapons, etc). Please make sure to collect it on the way out.

Will there be food and drinks at the event?

Our venues vary. As our events are 18+, all venues with licensed bars will serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks such as water, energy drinks and softdrinks. All venues will practice the responsible service of alcohol in accordance with state laws. Depending on venue location, food will also be available for purchase from their inhouse catering, or food trucks.

How do I get my ticket

All official tickets can be purchased through our Eventbrite link found on the website. All tickets will be scanned upon entry and must match with the Attendee’s photo ID. Name changes will be made available directly through Eventbrite.
